There's a fresh new music show on the ABC TV horizon, and it's set to be hosted by renowned presenter and Entertainment Management teacher Jane Gazzo.
The Sound debuts this weekend, and each week a guest host will co-present alongside Jane, with prolific actor Bryan Brown joining for the first episode.
Triple J's Zan Rowe will also act as the Music News Correspondent and a stacked lineup will kick off the premiere.
Legendary Nick Cave will perform a preview track from his IDIOT PRAYER concert, Sydney band DMA's will hold a special performance in the wake of their third album release, THE GLOW, and Aussie faves Eskimo Joe will play their first single in seven years.
Indie pop stars BENEE and Lime Cordiale follow the headliners, as well as Kate Ceberano, Steve Kilbey and Sean Sennett, Mark Seymour & the Undertow, and up-and-comer Jerome Farah closing the night.
Produced for ABC by Mushroom Vision, hour-long episodes will air every Sunday at 5.30PM and will be available to watch on ABC iView.
