YOU CAN SWITCH UP BETWEEN FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME

If you choose to study with Collarts, you’ll have the option to enrol on a full-time or part-time basis, with many opportunities throughout your studies to tailor your subjects.

Typically, our full-time study option for a Bachelor degree spans across two years; allowing you to complete your Bachelor in two years instead of the standard three. Full-time study is perfect for those who want to be qualified and working hands-on in the industry as soon as possible, clearing the way for more practical industry experience and early career growth.

In comparison, studying a Bachelor degree part-time can take anywhere between three to four years, and can benefit your work, life, and study balance as you’ll have more time for your own activities. Part-time is a fantastic way to manage your short-term commitments with your long-term goals, allowing you to choose a study pace that works for you.

Of course, we understand circumstances and goals often change. In fact, it may come as no surprise that our students often switch between the two study load options (for example, one trimester may be part-time due to an internship, but the next could be full-time), and we encourage you to take advantage of this flexibility.

YOU CAN TRANSFER FROM ON-CAMPUS TO ONLINE STUDY (OR VICE VERSA) AT ANY STAGE

While you’re researching flexibility in your studies, don’t overlook the different perks between studying on-campus and online. With majority of Collarts’ courses now offered fully online, you may be curious about the different advantages (and similarities) for each mode of study.

If you’re wanting a traditional learning style, studying on-campus may be for you. With all your classes face-to-face, you’ll be taught new skills in a variety of classrooms and be able to book our campus facilities (like studios or performance spaces) around your timetable. This study mode is great for students who have the time and capacity to learn on-campus, and for those who enjoy the conventional structures of university.

In contrast, studying online is a fantastic way to take advantage of today’s contemporary learning environment. As all classes are held online, you can login from anywhere; fitting your coursework around your life and commitments. With zero commute time to class and far more accessibility, it also means you can join the Collarts community from anywhere in Australia.

Regardless of which study mode you chose, you’ll have the flexibility to switch between each at any stage and enjoy random combinations for whatever suits your life or work that trimester.

YOU CAN OPT FOR BLENDED STUDY TO SUIT YOUR LIFESTYLE

In the event you want to study both on-campus and online, blended study may be the best way forward. Combining several flexible study options, blended study and learning is tailored to your needs for even greater convenience. Often a combination of on-campus and online study, blended study allows you to attend classes and lectures through a variety of ways dependent on your needs.

Whether you choose to do theory classes online or practical sessions on-campus, or opt-in for live interactive classes over Zoom, you will be provided the same supportive environment from your teachers and support staff. By exploring these rotations, you can harness the unique advantages of both physical and digital spaces in your studies, and have more control over your schedule.

YOUR CLASSES WILL ALWAYS BE SMALL AND ACCESSIBLE

No matter what you choose to study or how you choose do it, we're big believers in providing our students with personalised care and consideration. That's why, regardless of your study load, all your online classes will be small and intimate in size—just as it is for our on-campus classes—so you can get the assistance and on-demand feedback you deserve.

In addition, all live lectures at Collarts are recorded and uploaded to our student portal, so you can access them anytime in case you miss a class or need to revise.

YOU WILL ALWAYS BE PART OF THE COLLARTS COMMUNITY

One of the best things about study flexibility at Collarts is that you'll always be part of our community, no matter how big or small your presence is on-campus or online.

All Collarts students have access to our exclusive offerings, so you can enjoy the best stuff of our community—like our state-of-the-art facilities, studios, libraries (on-campus or online), softwares, internships, industry talks, and work experience gigs—regardless of your choice of study.
